speaker’s bio
Lauren Canzius (she/her) is a seasoned HR professional, Mental Health Advocate, and Diversity Expert. As a thought leader, Lauren has helped educate HR professionals and executives across the country, including the design and delivery of HR curriculum for various universities across the GTA. Lauren currently serves as the Founding Director and Head of the Diversity and Anti-Racism Office (DAO) at a provincial tribunal. She is a sought-after speaker, lecturer, and budding podcaster who empowers organizations to develop sustainable people-first solutions.
Lauren's career has included leadership roles in consulting, change management, HR management, diversity & inclusion, labour and employee relations, mediation, and collective bargaining. Lauren holds a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, and an Hons B.A. from the University of Toronto. She’s a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, and completed The Osgoode Certificate in Workplace Mental Health Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (Stitt Feld Handy/Windsor Law). In her free time, Lauren enjoys volunteering in her community and mentoring youth and new professionals.
